Counseling Services: Therapy and/or counseling are types of treatment to improve your mental well-being. These treatments can help people who are experiencing emotional or behavior problems, or people who have a mental health disorder. Therapy is also sometimes called psychotherapy. Counseling and/or therapy services offered include:
- Individual Counseling/Therapy
Emotional Support Animal Letters: Emotional Support Animal Letters are provided to clients who are in need to certain protections as it relates to the Fair Housing Act and Air Carrier Access Act.
Assessment and Testing Services: We offer a variety of assessments/evaluations/tests for different patient, client, defendant and offender groups. Each of these tests is empirically- (research) based and facilitates "assessment driven treatment." We believe it is important to identify problems and their severity before formulating treatment plans. Moreover, each of these tests has a built-in Truthfulness Scale that determines how truthful the client was when tested. These tests are also HIPAA compliant and ASAM compatible. Assessments offered include:
- Parenting Assessment: Our parenting assessment is evidenced-based and is an inventory designed to assess the parenting and child rearing attitudes of adult parent and pre-parent populations. Based on the known parenting and child rearing behaviors of abusive parents, responses to the inventory provide an index of risk for practicing behaviors known to be attributable to child abuse and neglect.
- Anger Management Assessment: This assessment is evidenced-based. The evaluation is an anger, or more specifically "anger management," screening instrument, or test. This assessment instrument or test makes "anger" screening possible for courts, probation departments, counseling programs and mental health professionals.
- Substance Abuse Assessment: This evidence-based evaluation quantifies substance abuse issues and makes recommendations of needs and level of treatment based off ASAM criteria.
- Victim's Inventory: This evidence-based test evaluates the effect of victimization and examines victimization pathology. Recommendation for intervention is provided if needed.
- Domestic Violence (DV) Assessment: The DV Inventory is evidenced based and is used in courts, probation departments, community corrections, clinics, treatment programs, etc. This test is appropriate for both misdemeanor and felony cases. The DV Inventory evaluates violence (lethality) potential, assesses control issues, quantifies substance (alcohol and other drugs) abuse and measures stress handling abilities.
